    Job Summary: The Research Assistant (RA), as part of the I Ola Lāhui Weight
    Management Program, will work closely with the Director of Research and Evaluation and
    Project Manager to track all data related to the project.  They will assist with data
    collection, entry, and analysis.  The Research Assistant will compile information to assist in
    grant reporting and other research related activities.

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    1. Track all data related to the project.

    Qualifications:
    1.  Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to work and communicate    
        with diverse populations.
    2.  Impeccable time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
    3.  Professional demeanor and ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
    4.  Strong interpersonal skills and a strong capacity for teamwork.
    5.  Research experience in psychology or related discipline.
    6.  Experienced with organizing, managing, coding and analyzing quantitative data .

    Education:
    1.  High school diploma required
    2.  Junior or senior undergraduate student who is enrolled in an undergraduate  
        psychology/health sciences program or related discipline and demonstrates a strong
        interest in pursuing a graduate degree.
    3.  Preferably have a Bachelor’s degree; currently enrolled in a graduate program in    
        psychology, health sciences or related discipline

    Experience:
    1.  Experience and knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, and   
        presentation   
        applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    2.  Experience with basic statistical analysis and research. Experience with and knowledge
        of SPSS.
    3.  Ability to prepare written reports based on data analysis, including tables and graphs.
    4.  Experience in behavioral program or research study administration.
    5.  Previous experience working with Native Hawaiian individuals.

    Part-Time Registered Dietitian

    Registered Dietitian for a comprehensive weight management program.  Job involves
    conducting individual nutritional assessments, counseling, and goal setting with patients
    as well as collaboration and consultation with other health professionals.  Requirements:
    Experience working with Native Hawaiian patients, familiarity with local cuisine and eating
    habits. Experience with chronic disease counseling.

    This is a patient-centered practice dedicated to the service of the Native Hawaiian
    community, so strong patient engagement and communication skills are critical.

    Duties & Job Responsibilities:
    1. Responsible for the administration of individual nutritional assessments.
    2. Collaborates with providers to identify and connect with patients in of nutrition
       counseling.
    3. Establishes treatment plans and communicates with patients regarding program
       adherence.
    4. Meets directly with patients to identify education needs, provide individual instruction,    
       utilize informational handouts/booklets, or refer to community resources as needed.
    5. Performs other duties as assigned

    Part-Time Certified Fitness Instructor

    Seeking a part-time Certified Fitness Instructor for a comprehensive weight management
    program.  Job involves providing opportunities for group physical activity in conjunction
    with program as well as collaboration and consultation with other health professionals.  
    Experience working with Native Hawaiian patients and individuals with chronic disease
    concerns or physical limitations preferred. Saturday availability needed, weekday hours
    available as well.

    This is a patient-centered practice dedicated to the service of the Native Hawaiian
    community, so strong patient engagement and communication skills are critical.

    Duties & Job Responsibilities:
    1.  Conduct individual fitness assessments.
    2.  Instruct groups or individuals in exercise activities.
    3.  Conduct group fitness classes using a variety of approaches.
    4.  Observe participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary to improve
        their skills.
    5.  Design and direct workout programs that are tailored to participant needs and goals.
    6.  Teach and demonstrate the use of gym equipment.
    7.   Observe participants in exercising and correct any improper techniques.
    8.   Work collaboratively with an team of health professionals.
    9.   Maintain equipment.
    10.  Administer first-aid if necessary.
    11.  Performs other duties as assigned
